What’s a tittle?

In Show Notes on October 17, 2006 by alanswan

Hello blog reader, its a poxy wet day in Kilkenny – a day for a big couch, an even bigger mug of tea and a good book. I’m actually reading a copy of Gary Barlow’s autobiography called ‘My Take’ at the moment, I was a bit apprehensive when I first began reading the book but it’s a very well written and interesting story he has to tell. So far so good. Will give a full review when I’m finished.

Show wise today it was a very busy show. Lots of queries and nuggets of information popped through the email and texts, it never ceases to amaze me the amount of participation that happens on the show, thank you! On the show today we discussed ageism at work, why hard work makes people happy, an alternative office workout (did you know that making tea for your workmates will burn 80 calories per 10 minute tea break!). The answer to our teaser was ‘Maps’ and we answered the question ‘What is a Tittle?’.

Musicwise on the show we played ARTIST/SONG: Tears for Fears-Sowing The Seeds of Love, Deacon Blue-Bigger Than Dynamite, Sharon Shannon-The Galway Girl, Men At Work-Down Under, Jon Bon Jovi-Midnight In Chelsea, Abba-Take A Chance On Me, Richard Marx-Hazard, Alison Moyett-waek in The Presence of Beauty, Jack L-Authentic Fake (by the way he has a new DVD out called ‘Momento’) Fine Young Cannibals-She Drives Me Crazy, Jamiroquai-Runaway, Phil Lynott-Old Town, The Ramones-Baby I Love You, Eagles-Life In The Fast Lane, Aslan-This Is, CLASSIC No1 @ QUARTER TO ONE from 1983 Spandau Ballet-True, Bronski Beat-Smalltown Boy.

Finally if you missed the end of the show we figured out the answer to this listeners query, a lyric that by the end of the show was really wrecking our heads. Its so obvious when you get the answer!!!  “17/10/2006″,”11:41:08″,”Hi Alan would u know what song these 2 lines are from,  i want u to want me. i need u 2 need me. There in the film john tucker must die and i cant think of the name of the song” Well thanks to Paul G in Dublin and Nichola in Maynooth for the answer. She wrote: ‘I’ve looked on line & the guy from Dublin is correct, the song in John Tucker is sang by Cheap Trick. Letters to Cleo did a cover of the same  song for 10 things i hate about you’.

These are the words:
I want you to want me.
I need you to need me.
Id love you to love me.
Im beggin you to beg me.

As always if you have any questions regarding the show just email us at More tomorrow from 11am GMT.

Talk soon, Alan
