In Rambles on September 27, 2006 by alanswan

Its a miserable rainy day in Carlow, which is now the most famous place in Ireland because Kate Moss decided to have a fag on stage at a gig held in Carlow on Tuesday! Just typing Carlow+Cigarette into Google threw up 222 News Articles. Mad eh?

Elsewhere on the show today we spoke about the National Ploughing Championships been held in Tullow, Employees been happy but overworked and the usual bits and bobs.

Music from the show today included: Lily Allen – LDN, Van Morrison – Days Like This, Fleetwood Mac – Big Love, Blondie – Maria, The Pixies – Here Comes Your Man, Steve Harley – Make Me Smile, The Police – Everybreath, Paul Simon – Father and Daughter, Classic No1 = The Beatles and Love Me Do, Rod Stewart – Have you Ever Seen The Rain, ELO – Hold On Tight, Fergal Sharkey – A Good Heart, All Saints – Never Ever, Genesis – Jesus He Knows Me, Prefab Sprout – Cars and Girls.

Also many thanks for the massive turn out at last nights Rehab Care Carlow 10th Birthday Party in the Dolmen Hotel, a fantastic night was had by all. Thank you so much to everyone who popped up to say hi.

Finally I’ll leave you with a bit off class from the BBC. This TV trail (fancy tv lingo for a short promo ad) is to promote BBC Radio 2, which is a fantastic station, home to the likes of Terry Wogan, Chris Evans and Ken Bruce. One of the best pieces of promotion I’ve seen in a while.

Have a good Weds, talk soon. Alan – takeabreak@kclr96fm.com
