Thursday goes so quickly…

Hi,

Quick blog today. The day is absolutely flying , nearly 3 already! Where does the time go?

Check out this great site

On my radio show today we discussed misheard lyrics, some study showed that Jimi Hendrix’s song ‘Purple Haze’ was the most misheard song lyric in music. The original line goes something along the lines of “Scuse me while I kiss the sky” but lots of people think its “Scuse me while I kiss this guy!” Now the pic above is a fantastic site that lists thousands of songs with lyrics that people have misheard. You will have a alot of fun checking out the various tunes. Many of you texted in lots examples and thanks as always.

Also on the show today we featured World Book day, so in the spirit of the day I gave away a nice book bundle. The question was to name as many songs or bands to do with colours that was possible. Got some great answers in – everything from the Rolling Stones Brown sugar to Natalie Cole’s Pink Cadillac. As always thanks for all the emails and texts, I know that sounds like a cliche but they really make the show.

Music from todays show included Artist-Song, Wild Cherry – Play That Funky Music, Mental as Anything-Live It Up, Leslie Dowdall – Wonderful Thing, Will Young-All Time Love, Claire Sproule-Wondering, Corinne Bailey Rae-Put Your Records On, Semisonic-All About Chemistry, Meck and Leo Sayer-Thunder in my heart,BellX1-Flame,China Black-Searching, CLASSIC NUMBER ONE Rod Stewart-I don’t want to talk about it,Abba-Take A Chance on me,Don Baker-Winner in you.

Tommorows show features TAB choice where listeners pick all the music, so you can blame yourselves if you don’t like the choices;-) Promise to post Oscar predictions later. Answer to the teaser today was GLASS. Oh and well done Susan Rose for winning Car of the Day!

Last bit – It takes lot to admit that I was wrong, Ireland bet Sweden 3-0, Maybe Staunton will save Irish football!!

Cya later,

Alan
